I needed papers to be served. I was impressed with ALP website and continued to fill out the paperwork online. The fee was $69.50 through PayPal. After the online transaction I checked both Paypal and my checking account and the amount was deducted from BOTH places. I contacted ALP on Monday morning to follow up and discuss the financial problem. The wife answered and she said they could not handle the serving of papers because of COVID and my money was refunded. I tried to explain it was not refunded to my checking account. She said they have nothing to do with it. REALLY? First of all why didn't their Website mention that they were not doing business??? The website has all my transaction information, my Paypal account info etc. She was as mean as a junk yard dog, no customer relation attitude whatsoever, DID NOT WANT TO HELP ME OUT. I have now placed a cancellation with my bank because of the double dipping. I did not receive any response from ALP explaining any of the above. Had I not called this would have just continued with my understanding everything was being processed. Do not make a judgement based on a website. I should have investigated further in the beginning. Currently, my bank is investigating the transaction but in the meantime I am still out the $69.50. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!
