Rodney Vahoviak retired from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office as a Senior Investigator, before starting IBRC. His 24 years of law enforcement experience have given him the diversified and specialized training many law enforcement agencies cannot provide. Mr. Vahoviak has gained the experience of working, or having been involved in almost every aspect of investigations, including homicide, gang crimes, child abduction, officer involved shootings, robbery, sexual assault, victim/witness protection and re-location, fraud and environmental crimes.

We specialize in surveillance for infidelity and cheating spouses, although we also provide a wide range of general investigative services, including criminal defense investigations, background screening and missing person locates.
Established in 2006. Investigations by Retired Cops was founded in 2006 by a team of retired law enforcement detectives with over a century of of combined investigative experience. Based on their years of experience working in the judicial system, they saw a need by the public and attorneys for private investigators that could protect and serve their clients' interests locally, nationally and worldwide.
