I needed a job, saw on linkedin that City Safe was hiring.... It had the wrong address on the advertisement. I should have known this was bad from just that. As soon as I walked in I asked to apply. I was given a clip board and told to make an incident report with details they provided. Okay a test at the door...odd but okay. I didn't even get to discuss my licenses and ask their pay rate, or locations but okay. And the pay rate is minimum wage with licenses and over seven years of experience. Red flags. I was given a site to interview with the client. The client chooses you, how fun. I got to be special the next day I got to interview with not only the client, the clients acting manager, and two of the companies higher ups at the same time. So that the client could show the companies managers how he conducts his interviews and what he is looking for. Why? Apparently people kept quitting, three if I remember right. How lovely for less than nineteen an hour with a binder with 80 policies and procedures. I was told to carry it with me everywhere and memorize it. I got the job. Training would have been nice if I hadn't been begged everyday for three days not to quit and "waste their time" For two weeks I worked a site, no locker that I was promised, 30min meal break which you used merely walking to the locker room and to your post 5min, so 10min almost half your break without heating your food (lol). They gave me two 10min personals to which I had to use to run OUTSIDE my post to get to a bathroom/locker area that was about 5min away. I literally got to the bathroom, do what I needed in 30seconds or less and run back in 5min because that was the break. Fun right? I put up with it for weeks I had no complaints against me. One day the client manager decided to quiz me on a random policy of the 80. I didn't know it word for word so I abbreviated it. Manager said that I was right but it wasn't good enough and told me know it tomorrow. I never went back. I went to the office and returned the uniform. I was given another site for minimum wage. Now this new site was EVEN BETTER. Another high turnover site. I wondered why until I realized its because of management. The new supervisor was being trained by a security officer that had only been there a month herself. Now this new supervisor was there for 5 days and still failing. That is fine, learning new things can take time. Now then this same supervisor did nothing but sit in my seat which was in the ac. While I stood in the sun, 90 degrees, no hat, no shade because the supervisor also broke the barricade earlier that day. And to top it off the same supervisor grabbed my wrist and attempted to move me in front of a truck. LOVELY. Now he apologized and I continued to work. five hours later he tried to have me sign his lie of an incident report saying he was moving me out of the way. I notified the account manager and all she did was move me to the other side of the site. Why would I want to work for a supervisor who touched me without permission and lie about it? The girl training him quit two days after me because he was yelling at her. I quit and two weeks later I noticed I was not paid for the day I worked there. I emailed the company to ask who I should speak to....no answer...asked for HR no answer. I can not in good conscious recommend this company. The pay is bad, you will not be protected, and nobody will reach out to help you unless you travel all the way to Harlem to their office. Which I am not, as I live in queens. Their office does not open at 9am it opens at 10am, another thing their false advertising. Lets see....the receptionist ladies were nice when I was there. That's about it. In summary: Management bad, pay bad, department reachability/communication bad, high turnover rate sites

Very thorough business! This is a private investigations and security firm. My son needed to come here to complete the second portion of a job application. Staff, particularly a nice young man was very helpful and patient with everyone to ensure that everything was completed properly. Our visit to this business was good.
