Terrible, awful, frustrating and enraging experience. Really wish I'd come to Yelp before hiring this man, as everything I read here echoes my own experience. First time hiring a process server, and what happens is Ron Rugen sends one "contractor" to serve the papers, they get confused between different defendants' names, go to the wrong place, take too long to go back, etc... so he says "I've dismissed the server and have someone better". That person serves the papers no problem, but then fouls up the affidavits. I ask if I can have them done properly and Rugen first says "the server erred and I'll look into it" and then tries to gaslight me and says I DO have the right affidavits, I call him on it, because I DON'T have them and he says okay but I can't reach the contractor who did the service. I get the feeling he's lying about basically everything. Long story short this goes on for weeks, without me getting the proper affidavits. Eventually I googled the name of the the contractor server who had gone missing, and he has a string of arrests for running a chop shop, dealing meth, theft, etc.... This is who Ron Rugen hired to fulfil my legal needs. When I tell Rugen I am firing him (for all the reasons above) and will have to start over, he accuses me of insulting him and asks if he can try again with a new server! I asked for a full refund and I did get a refund of a small portion of the fee. Long story long, I'm now 6 weeks delayed on my case because of this scumbag, I now have to pay another server to re-serve the papers, and the whole ordeal has made the process of this legal matter WAY more stressful than I could've imagined. Never once did he apologize for the delays and unprofessionalism, and was incredibly blunt and rude in his emails. Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. AVOID this loser please. (By the way it's pretty funny, if you look at reviews hidden by Yelp you see a couple of 5-star reviews he wrote HIMSELF).

This dude is a cuck, I served 8-9 people for him, not a single thing I did was right according to him, he literally complained about everything. Didn't pay me the week he was suppose to so I sent another invoice, he's complaining that it's not a pdf ect... he can clearly see and knows what he owes me and is trying to tell me hes not gonna pay me... dudes a scum. I've got emails from this dude to prove he's not a professional person at all.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!! I wish I could attach photos of my emails to show proof of how incredibly rude and disgusting Ron is. In over a month he never attempted to serve the other party. I have a restraining order against the person but he was still so rude and didn't care no attempt to serve was made. What a gross little man.

I'm not an attorney, I'm stumbling through some family law proceedings and needed to get someone served out of state. It's a little nerve wracking as I'm trying to identify a firm, it's near and dear to us and the process is a little foreign. With that being said, Ron with Action Legal Process was fantastic. I'm sure some of my questions were ignorant, he answered them all promptly. Some of the reviews imply he was rude, personally, I didn't have that experience. Furthermore, I hired them to serve papers, which they did promptly and effectively. I'm not hiring action legal for hugs! Hopefully I won't be suing anyone anytime soon, if I am though, I'm coming right back to Ron!

Worst processor ever! Do not use thus guy.... he beat me put of money and never did his job. Just stopped answering his phone. Then he sent nasty emails saying it was my fault and now non responsive. If you have money to give away hire this fat punk. I told him she would be out in 30 minutes but he left in 15. Told me later he had prior obligations and he has satisfied his job. Blew the whole case..... please don't fall for this fat man's bragging. 26 years....I will get it done. Total scam artist. Spend more I'd you have to but stay clear of this POS.

What a terrible service run by a mean person. He is immediately confrontational and accusation when asked about his service. In my opinion he is a profoundly untrustworthy person. He made one attempt to serve and then gave up saying he was told to stay off the guys property. He then wrote a confusing affidavit of refusal of service that stated that the person I was trying to serve was home. Barely legible English at best. Why this guy continues to be in business is a testament to how corrupt the Internet has become. I only hope the state of Missouri gets around to doing something about it. But I'm not holding my breath

I made payment/sent papers to be served on 2/18. I was told they typically serve within 3 days, and that I would receive email updates for every attempt made. Neither of those things happened. After a full week, I reached out for an update because I hadn't heard a word. I was told "haven't had any luck". When I inquired about the email updates about attempts, I got no response. I was told my case was being "reassigned" to another server on 2/25. At that time, I let him know the person to be served travels for work and would be away for 2 weeks near the beginning of the month. I also had told him the person had been in town all week, the week prior, and they could've easily served him then, as the person was making himself available to be served from home. On 2/28, I was told again "no luck". When asked about email updates, he asked if I just wanted to wait, as I stated the person would be out of town for work. I told him no, I didn't want to wait and again told him the papers were to get my disabled son on his father's health insurance. Today, 3/1, he emailed me and told me his guy has covid and he was sending a refund. I got nothing regarding the status of a refund or proof it was processed. It doesn't show as pending in my checking acct. Any time I reached out to him during this fiasco, he could never talk-on the phone, driving, leaving the office. He basically held my papers hostage for 11 days and then bailed on the job. I still have no signs of a refund, and now I'm scrambling to get someone else to serve papers. Poor business practices, all around. Do not recommend. I wish I had checked Yelp before I hired him, as this appears to be typical behavior from this company.

I have been emailing and on one response I got it's after hours here and I'm eating dinner at my home and that I shouldn't email after hours. This guy is a scam artist... ***** DO NOT USE HIS SERVICES ***** we made payment and sent documents to be served and nothing was done. This guys name is Ron Rugen he is now refusing to respond to our emails and calls. He keeps telling us that we didn't send his the address to the person who needed to be served. It is written on the documents and we given it Via email. We are taking further legal actions against him and is company.
