I had zero -- zilch -- negative marks on my credit and my credit score hovers around 800. A bill I was not made aware of that my medical insurance had not paid was sent to this agency. As soon as a credit report I ran via Experian made me aware of this debt (that had solely been reported to Transunion, so I wasn't aware of it until then), I called and paid it in full. Mind you, this was roughly only a ~$200 debt. I requested a goodwill removal (for example: https://www.thebalance.com/how-to-use-a-goodwill-letters-in-credit-repair-960368) after I paid it, and then I called later to request again, very politely explaining the situation. On that call, I was told by an incredibly rude gentleman that they would not remove it whatsoever and that negative reviews like this one only help them get more business. I understand the business they are in, and I can appreciate how difficult it must be to deal with people who are struggling financially and working hard -- and especially those who don't care -- to pay off their debts. But there's no need to then not try and work with individuals in the process and extend kindness. Empathy goes a long way. And unfortunately, this company does not have it. I wish companies that send their debts on to collectors would work more diligently to find people who aren't jerks, choosing to work instead with people who show kindness. NEMOS is not that company. Shame on them. If you are a company looking to hire a debt collector, I implore you to not FIND NEMO, but look elsewhere.

Called to try and resolve a debt that was hidden in my credit report. Spoke with president who was very rude from initial contact. The company had the wrong address and wrong phone number for me. I never received a call or letter in regards to this debt. Mr Nemo refused to accept responsibility for his mistake and assist in resolving this issue. This is a very unethical company and prays on the vulnerable.

I asked if the collection could be removed if I paid in full ($125 from over 4 years prior) he told me absolutely not and they wouldn't do it. So I asked if they would take a lower amount to pay in full since they refused to remove it. He went ballistic and told me I was on no position to even ask for such a thing. I told him I certainly was since I was the one trying to pay the debit. I told him if I don't pay the debit it falls off my credit report in 2.5 years and they are out the $. Kind of seems like I am in that position. At that point he hung up on me. So I'll take the 15 point credit hit for 2.5 more years and they will never see my $125. What a horrible business practice. As a business owner if I saw one of my employees do something like that, they would be walked out the door.

I received a notification that I had a new collection on my credit report from this place. I was very upset as I have never had a collection in my life. I Found out that it was because my health insurance didn't pay for a covid test that I took last year at a urgent care facility. I'm still unsure why they never paid it. After calling the urgent care and explaining had I known that my insurance didn't pay I would've gladly paid on my own considering I have a very good credit report and would never jeopardize that for a $125 bill. I also explained I never received a bill and they insisted they had sent them to a Airbnb address I was staying at shortly while I was relocating to Arizona. At that point I contacted Nemos and spoke to Leah. After explaining the situation and how the charge was for a covid test and I was willing to pay it immediately as I always pay my debts, Leah was considerate of the situation and offered to remove the collection from my credit report if I paid the debt as a one time courtesy. I was very stressed out about this ordeal and she quickly set my mind at ease. This place and Leah seemed very fair and understanding of my situation and I'm grateful for the help. Moral of the story, stay on top of your bills, pay them and be honest about oversights or mistakes. Thanks again Leah.

Completely shocked at how rude these people are. I called to make a payment and when I was told the refuse to remove it from my credit report I politely said ok I will need to pay this in a few weeks the man who I was speaking with became extremely hostile and nasty. From what I can tell Nextcare urgent care uses them exclusively. I will be sure to take my urgent care business down the street to a different one since they do business with such shady people. I should have known they would be un kind after reading all of their reviews with the BBB. But I thought if I called amd was nice they wouldn't have a reason to be rude but I was wrong.

This place really needs to rethink the way they do business. I spoke to Mark about a month ago. I called to pay the amount that was due as shown on my credit report which I have been doing for the last 2.5 years to improve my credit. You know trying to play catch up from a hard couple years that my husband and I had. It is absolutely disgusting the way Mark Burns talked and treated me over the phone this afternoon. I called, like I was instructed to to ask if they can delete the Zero balance off of my credit. I'm sure that they get these calls often and they might even be annoying but that does not excuse Mark from talking down to me and belittling me for taking a year to pay my balance. I don't know what privilege world Mark lives in but in the real world people make mistakes and fall onto hard times. I myself have had to work 3 Bartending jobs to get through college. Which I'm not certain if he is educated enough to know that those jobs did not have to offer health insurance up until recently. I have a inherited kidney disease that caused high blood pressure and other complications, hence the Medical Bills. Any way my point is that people like Mark are trash and any company that allows their employees to speak to people that way are a disgrace. Everything about my experience with Nemo's Investigation and collections it flat out dehumanizing!!!!!!!! I was in literally in tears!!!

Called Nemo's Collection to settle a small debt that I got custody of in my divorce. I am well aware that the money is owed and was willing to pay it however I was told to ask for a letter to send to the credit bureaus before agreeing to pay anything. The woman I spoke to, Robin, rudely told me that they sent multiple letters months ago (she was referring to the collection letters about the debt) Obviously I am well aware of these letters otherwise why would I be calling? I tried (probably a bit more rude than I should have been) to explain that those letters are not what I was talking about. Robin told me she had never heard of what i was asking for so I asked if there was a supervisor who might know, in the process of explaining to her that I myself wasn't entirely sure what I was asking for and that I was just following instructions I was given, she cut me off and placed me on hold, in the middle of my explanation/apology. By the time the supervisor got on the phone I could tell that she had made me out to be an idiot because he started the call with a rude tone. Basically saying he had no idea what I wanted from them. When i explained to him he said he had been in collections for 20 years and never heard of what I was asking for. That's fine, I understand, I will double check my facts and find out what exactly it is I need, but your snotty tones and unwillingness to be in any way helpful are completely unnecessary. And I get it, you work for a collections company, your job sucks, not my problem, I did not go into the call with any intentions of being one of the many rude people I'm sure you speak to on a daily basis. Lighten up.

What an awful person Nemo is. We have a medical debt from almost 6 years ago of less than $80.00 which I didn't even recall except that our financial situation was bad then. Asked to pay and asked I'd they could have it removed from credit report and ended up getting lectured to and being called dishonest and getting yelled at.
