Sylvia Palma joined the US Army in 1984 as a Military Police Officer. In 1985 while stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas she was recruited by the Provost Marshal to join a team of investigators that specialized in the investigation of domestic violence, child abuse, juvenile crimes, and the intervention of suicides. In 1986, she was an MP conducting garrison duties in Germany. After an honorable discharge in 1987, she worked as a PI in CA, New Mexico, and Washington State conducting criminal, civil, and workers' compensation investigations. She also worked with the Santa Fe Community College Criminal Justice Program as an instructor of Private Investigations. Sylvia received her CA PI license in 1992 and established her company Palma & Palma Investigations at that time. Since 2002, Sylvia has served on several panels of defense investigators for San Francisco Bay Area Counties. From 2010 Sylvia earned & maintained the distinguished CCDI (Certified Criminal Defense Investigator) designation.
