I do not recommend here. I had to serve two defendants for my small claim and I brought two copies. But they said I needed to serve only one since both are the same people (one is a person and one is a LLC of the person). Today, the court asked to serve two instead of one so I had to serve another party and extended the court day. After I asked the service, I didn't hear from them so had to call them. When I called the first time, they didn't recognize my order initially so I had to email them the document. I have never received any communication from them unless I contacted them. They did serve the document eventually but I had to find out from the court's website.

I've used Preferred Legal Service's off and on for decades to Serve the City and Country of San Francisco. A quick call and they we're able to tell me exactly what address the San Francisco City Attorney's Office accepts service at and a day later it was delivered. They have always been a great choice for a San Francisco Process Server.

We rely on Preferred Legal Service to pick up copies of cases monthly from an administrative court in the area. They are reliable, responsive and consistently obtain the requested material on the agreed-upon schedule. I'm thankful for the work they do.

I came to them to have them serve process someone with the details of the individual's house, car and habits. They claimed it would be doable, and claimed to make multiple attempts to serve papers but they did not successfully serve them. Then, I realized that the person I was serving had multiple court dates, and provided them the specific times and location, and told me they wouldn't do it since the servers didn't want to go there that "early" in the morning (9:30AM). Don't waste your money on these guys.

I had a brief that needed copies served by mail to two recipients before I could file it with the court. The first company I called wanted to charge me $150 and I would have had to wait a couple hours. Drew was my second call and his quote was significantly more reasonable. Their location was easy to find at Opera Plaza, very close to the courthouses. I was able to walk in and he helped me instantly. I was very tired and his pleasant demeanor was a welcome relief - it's the small things, right? His original quote was a flat rate + postage. But when he couldn't get the postage machine working immediately , he volunteered to waive the postage charge but I wouldn't have it given how helpful he was, so I paid a fair estimate. As icing on the cake, 20 minutes later when I was standing in line at 400 McAllister to file the paperwork with the clerk, he just happened to walk in, saw that i was in the wrong line, and pointed me to the correct window at the very end that wasn't well marked. This saved me probably 15-30 minutes of standing in the wrong line! 6 stars if I could.

I am taken aback by the minimal service this company failed to provide. We provided them with documents to serve. Initially, they were very professional. As time went on, I noticed that they could not give me any status, or provide me with any details of the attempts the Process server made. As I started to inquire further, they just began to ignore me. When I finally got firmer with them, they claimed that service was done. When I requested the proof of service, they told me that it would take them some time and they couldn't give a date. This was confusing because we had provided them with a filled out Proof of Service, only requiring the Process server to fill out the minor details and sign. Needless to say, I am shocked that this company is still in business. Do not use them to serve important documents.
