Please call first as we do not take drop in appointments at this address--it's where we get our mail. We are selective about what we take and because of case loads and other reasons, not every case is a good fit for us or the potential client. Investigations for law firms, businesses and select private clients. Focus is on surveillance, background checks, locating people, civil matters and criminal defense. We prefer to work through an attorney because attorneys often provide the best guidance about what evidence will help in court. We select each case and client on a case-by-case basis. We usually can't take cases in boyfriend/girlfriend matters or if there have even been restraining orders in a relationship. Our database terms dictate that we can only use databases for locating people in certain situations. We do not find old flames or former friends or classmates. Our team of surveillance operatives is experienced and gets the job done. We handle divorce and domestic, family law situations and insurance defense investigations. Surveillance in the Bay Area presents unique challenges but we often get results. We have great knowledge of public records laws and local courthouses. An advantage of being in business for so long is knowing where to look for information.

Established in 1996. I started the business after being a police and investigative reporter at daily newspapers in Virginia, Florida and California. I have a master's degree in journalism from UC-Berkeley, where my thesis earned a faculty honor. Prior to passing the state exam and earning my license, I worked under other investigators doing criminal defense, workers' comp and other types of cases. My experience as a journalist makes me a savvy interviewer and knowledgeable about public records. We also have an office in Walnut Creek, California. We are ethical, effective and smart.
