Unprofessional behavior by the polygrapher. She created a highly charged negative atmosphere with emotional outbursts! This directly contradicts the stated goals of both national polygrapher associations. No results could ever be considered reliable under the conditions she created. I will never have anything to do with this office again, and would hope both private and public agencies would steer clear of Wells's less than professional services (regardless of lower cost). In this case, you truly don't get what you're paying for!

My first polygraph, application for volunteer position, was a fine experience. Laura Wells, explained clearly, clarified answers to questions provided by me, gave practice tests and established a baseline. At all times she was professional and non-judgmental. While I did not have concerns about the questions being asked, I was a bit nervous as this was a new experience for me. Her demeanor put me at ease and the testing process was not unpleasant.

My polygrapher was professional and courteous and took extra time to address all my concerns about the process and results. Her demeanor as she administered the test was unbiased and sensitive, which put me at ease and calmed my nerves. I told the truth, passed the exam, and my life changed for the better. I highly recommend for anyone needing to have a polygraph conducted. Thank you!

I had to go to Wells Polygraph for my background with ADOT. Laura Wells was the most unprofessional lady I have dealt with in a long time, especially for a contract with a government agency! She was rude and chastised me, frustrated and upset me to the point that I know I failed the polygraph! My son is a police officer and my brother in law is also a police officer, after I told them both how this polygraph was conducted they were just floored. They are supposed to get a baseline for lying in the beginning of the test and then ask the questions that you are supposed to tell the truth on. Well how my test went was, Laura put the questions in the computer, never asked any questions during the polygraph without using the computer. The questions consisted of 2 questions I was suppose to answer truthfully and 2 that I was suppose to lie about, during the test itself. So now I'm trying to concentrate for the trigger words on the questions I was suppose to lie on and during the first round ended up telling the truth to a question I was suppose to lie on. After the first round, during the break, she got onto me, asking what are you thinking about, you need to concentrate. Which in turn frustrated and scared me. I told her I wasn't thinking about anything else and from what I understood, she didn't believe me. She told me well I got one question right....which I don't understand.....was it the one I was suppose to lie on or tell the truth, then she asked if I had anything I wanted to share. Not saying which question I got "wrong". We started the second round of testing, same situation, computer generated questions, 2 lies and 2 truth. How are you suppose to concentrate on telling the truth, when you have to concentrate on a trigger question and make sure you answer the lie correctly? I did alright on that round. Then the third round of testing, which I ended up telling the truth on another one I was suppose to lie on. I apologized for answering truthful and you could tell she was not happy with me. Then she tells me that " I CAN'T FOLLOW DIRECTIONS". I told her that I had a problem with lying, and that is why I answered truthful when I wasn't supposed to. She basically called me a liar. Now I'm really, really frustrated and upset. Then she states verbatim ' YOUR APPLYING FOR A JOB AT ADOT, HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DO A JOB AT ADOT, WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN FOLLOW DIRECTIONS"! Now I'm pissed!!!! I told her that was different, I honestly have a problem with lying!!!! Well to say the least, I didn't get the job with ADOT!!!! Everything else in my background came back perfect, no issues, was slotted #1 for the position, until I had to meet with Laura Wells!!!! I am going to let ADOT know how she treats people, and hopefully they will not renew the contract with her. She was a horrible person to deal with, especially when you are already nervous, because I have never in my life had a polygraph before! WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER!!!!

via YelpI voluntarily took a polygraph exam for a volunteer position I was applying for.
I voluntarily took a polygraph exam for a volunteer position I was applying for. The lady who performed my polygraph exam was the most unprofessional and rude person I've had to deal with in a long time - and I deal with lawyers all day so that's really saying something. First, I arrived at 3:30 and waited in the lobby until 3:48. When the polygrapher was walking me to the room she started chastising me, saying that my appointment was at 3:30 and it was now 4. I told her that I had actually arrived at 3:30 and she told me that the online instructions say to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time. Well, I hadn't signed up online so I had no idea and I explained that to her. Her attitude did not improve at all nor did she acknowledge that it was her fault for not providing proper instructions. Furthermore, she kept yelling at me during the test for doing things like breathing too deeply or one time when I was supposed to purposely lie I forgot and told the truth to a question. She never told me what to do if I accidentally answered wrong so I turned my head and said "oops" to her and she yelled at me that I wasn't following any of her instructions. At the end of the test I still tried to be polite and turned and said thank you to her as I was walking out the door. She did not respond and closed the door in my face. Extremely unprofessional behavior on her part, especially being the business owner. When I told my spouse about the experience he said she sounds like she's bitter because she hates her job. I have to agree because based on how boring it was to sit through an hour of that exam, she probably hates doing that all day long.
