Our company is a process serving firm. It you need documents served in a court matter we are here to help. We provide service in the Washington Metropolitan area and have agents nationwide. We are fast reliable and professional. No serve is too hard. Court filings, legal research are just a few additional services we provide. We also specialize in investigative services such as surveillance, locations, asset searches, skip traces and background searches.
Established in 1981. Capitol Process Services, Inc. was founded in Washington, DC in 1981 with the goal of providing comprehensive service of process and private investigation services to the legal community. We quickly gained a reputation for being thorough, effective, reliable, and timely, and while we remain locally owned and operated, we have expanded our geographic reach to serve clients around the country. Our clients include the largest law firms in the Washington, DC area and other major cities, Fortune 500 companies, and Federal Government departments and agencies. We are bonded, insured, and licensed throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan Area and we are a member of the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS) and the Mid-Atlantic Association of Professional Process Servers (MAAPPS). We continue to provide exceptional service to our clients. We have received multiple awards including Best Process Server by Legal Times and the Good Hope award by Bread for the City.

My wife and I were filing a complex pro se immigration action in the DC Federal District Court. We were doing this for the first time so we needed some extra attention and assistance to make sure the service of the summons was done correctly. Louis and David were extremely helpful and accomplished it all very promptly at a reasonable cost. They are deserving of SIX stars. Thank you Louis and David for a job very well done.

HORRIBLE!!! I mean, not one--- single--- person--- on staff--- seems to have a l
HORRIBLE!!! I mean, not one--- single--- person--- on staff--- seems to have a lick of sense. There were too many instances of dropping the ball to list everything, but from being laughed at by one of the servers who said ":Miss, hahaha, I don't know anything about your case or why they would transfer you to me".. all "LoL" when retrieving my money is a serious matter. I even TOLD them howwww to catch the guy whose address I gave them and how to lure him out. You know what they did... NOTHING..... for WEEKS!!! For the 3 days day before I was legally mandated to serve him, I called daily and on the LAST day, they FINALLY did what I told them... but since they didn't have enough sense to give me a buzz to let me know they found him and served the contractor, A WEEK LATER, I get a mail from them saying he served them! They had time to type that letter but not to shoot me a quick call to let me know they got him????? I had to make an extra trip to the courthouse because of them and will have to go down there yet again.... I missed my court date cuz I didn't know I can still show up without the guy being served. Totally inept... and I'm still out $5,000 from this thief of a contractor!!! USE A DIFFERENT SERVICE! CAPITOL PROCESS IS BEYOND INEPT AND TOTALLY REPREHENSIBLE.

I've worked in the legal field for over 20 years and have never been met with a more failed process than I have at Capitol Process Services, Inc. Major lack of communication within the company itself. Dealing with 3 people who obviously never spoke to one another. The paperwork we intended to have served a long time ago, was sat upon by David Felter and his other "lackies" who continued to feed our firm lies about service...until the paperwork expired - which they sheepishly returned... I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN NOR WILL MY FIRM.
